Start Your Registration

We are excited you are coming to Athens! This page is the starting point for everyone registering to attend the National Championship.

Judging Panel and event volunteers should register here.

All tickets, passes, and t-shirts must be ordered ahead of time. The registration system will close at 5:00 PM EDT on Monday, April 15. Tickets to events will not be sold on-site.

T-Shirts

The t-shirt store is now open! Orders must be placed by 5:00 PM EDT April 15. Shirts will be distributed at on-site registration Wednesday and Thursday.

Registration Categories

Teams – The team’s registration will identify all team members (official and non-official) and coaches and should be completed by either the state coordinator or one of the team’s coaches. The Team Registration Fee provides twelve All-Access Passes for the nine official team members, two coaches (primary teacher and attorney) and the state coordinator.

Non-competing students and additional coaches will need to purchase All-Access Passes to attend the team events.

T-shirts are not included in the Team Registration and must be purchased separately through the store above.

Observers – Observers include any parents, siblings, friends, coaches’ spouses, and any others travelling with the team. All observers must be registered in order to view a competition round (free!) and may only attend rounds with their state’s team.

This registration will also allow observers to purchase tickets to the Awards Gala Saturday night.

Courtroom Artist Contestants – Each state that has a courtroom artist program may register their state champion courtroom artist to compete in the Courtroom Artist contest (Rule 7.1). Those states without a program may enter an artist to participate as a non-competing artist to gain experience; these artists will not be able to enter their drawing into the contest.

If the artist is traveling separate from the state’s mock trial team, this registration will allow the artist to identify a companion, register them for credentials, and purchase either an All-Access Pass or Awards Gala ticket for that person.

Any others who are traveling with the artist must register themselves as an Observer.

State Coordinators and NHSMTC Board Members – State Coordinators need to register separately from their team. The Team Registration Fee will cover the State Coordinator’s All-Access Pass. State Coordinators will pick up their badge and other items separately from the team during the on-site registration in Athens.
